Pumpkin Carving & Soccer

Friday night we carved pumpkins. This was the first year that we let our older girls carve their own pumpkins (we just helped with the gutting). Kylie wanted to do "Mike" from Disney's Monsters, Inc. and Hailey carved a pumpkin that had a feature in every shape (and that is sticking his tongue out). Scott carved Grace's pumpkin into a scary bat-ghost thing. They will look great lit up on Halloween!Grace wasn't allowed to use the carving knives, so she took tooth picks and made her own "porcupine" pumpkin. She was very proud of it! Saturday the girls had their final soccer games of the season. I am always excited when the season starts and excited when it ends too! Hailey was in a "jam-boo-ree" tournament and Kylie played in Idaho against the toughest team in their division. Hailey's team dressed up in Halloween tutu's for the tournament and they won all three of their games. The other three teams didn't even get a goal!

Here is a quick sampling of one of Hailey's goals...
