Christmas 2012

The kids got their own personal elf this year who watched over them and reported how good they were to Santa each night. We named the elf "Buddy." He was mostly a good little elf, but occasionally he would get into mischief while we were sleeping...

Here is Hailey at her school Christmas concert. She looked so grown up and beautiful!

The Saturday before Christmas, we took the girls out to Lake Coeur d'Alene where they went on a "Cruise to the North Pole." The lights were amazing and the kids were excited to get to see Santa.

Here is grandpa reading the night before Christmas to the grandkids on Christmas Eve.

The kids were so excited to open presents on Christmas morning. It is all pretty much a blur, but we did get a couple pictures. (FYI, the Hegwers like to give and get movies for Christmas.)

First December Snowfall

After church the snow started to fall. Even though it might be considered "breaking the sabbath" we let the kids go out and sled in the dusting of snow. They were very excited and quite cute to watch!

Thanksgiving 2012

We hosted Thanksgiving this year at our house. It was crazy, wild fun. Mike and his family, Ben and his family, and Kelli and her little Liliya joined us for all the action. We started off with a mini birthday party to Chuck E. Cheese for Hampton (5) and Maverik (3). We didn't want to take multiple cars, so Ben gave everyone a ride in his new used motor home. It was cute to see all the kids playing and interacting with each other.

Maverik got some new Superhero underwear from Grandma Buffalo which he hugged and played with all weekend. Mikelle put it in the motor home and Maverik had to go out and get it.
Here we are about to eat our delicious meal prepared by everyone. My house isn't setup very well for cooking and entertaining, but we made due and ate some good bird.

I wish I had a picture of us ladies out shopping at Target on Thanksgiving night. The lines were rediculous, but we made the most of it cheering on the crowd and high-fiving the security guards. We waited in line to checkout for an hour and a half, only to realize when we got to the car one of us had forgotten the gift we went to Target for. We were all laughing so hard it didn't matter. I am so thankful for my wonderful sister-in-laws and sister.

Halloween 2012

For Halloween this year Kylie dressed up as Katniss from The Hunger Games, Hailey was a Monster High goul, and Grace was a cupcake. We went trick-or-treating with the local cousins. It was warm out and there were tons of trick-or-treaters where we were at. It was like a scene right out of a movie with all the kids running around everywhere. The girls looked great and had lots of fun!

Crazy Hair Soccer Tournament

Hailey went to the 3rd annual "Crazy Hair Soccer Tournament" this weekend. Grandma did Hailey's hair like "Cindy-Lou-Who" from the (newer) Grinch movie. Hailey's team did awesome and won the whole thing. I think Hailey had the best hairdo!
