Easter Festivities 2011

We started off Easter weekend with our annual easter egg hunt at a local grocery store (Yokes). It is always crazy madness, so we didn't get any pictures. The girls each won a small prize though and got lots of candy, so everyone walked away happy.

Next was Kylie's soccer game. Her team did pretty well and Kylie played awesome. Here is one of her many goal kicks she took during the game.

Grace played with Hailey during Kylie's soccer game and she came back looking like this. How can such a cute face get SOOOO dirty! Then we went to Hailey's soccer game. She did very well, like always, and the parents brought easter eggs filled with candy and bunny cookies for their snack. The weather was perfect and mom even got her first sun burn of the year! The next morning we hid the girl's Easter baskets and left them clues as to where they were hidden. They ran around following the clues until they found the baskets in our closet. Instead of baskets this year, Kylie and Hailey got travel luggage for our trip to Disney World. Grace was not in her finest mood Easter morning, but she did find a little joy in "double-fisting" her two new sippy cups the Easter Bunny brought her. She cheered up quite a bit later when we let her eat the head off her "chocky bunny."Doesn't Hailey look like a little "World Traveler?" This pose was all her idea!

After church we went up to Grandma Florence and Grandpa Walt's house for the annual kids and adult easter egg hunt. The kids had tons of fun looking for their eggs and the adults fought hard finding their eggs too. We had lots of good food and also celebrated all the March and April birthdays with cake, ice cream, and presents. All the girls were exhausted and fell asleep on the way home!

  2. I can't believe how busy you guys are all the time!!! You really pack the fun in, which is why we love to vacay with the Hegwers! Love Gracie's little voice, sounds like a cartoon. And I must say your girls like pretty grown up with their new travel luggage.

  3. Shauna, you make as good an Easter Bunny as you do a Santa!Looks like everyone had a BLAST! There was no skimping on the goodies, fun. or Easter Finery, either. (Though Gracie looks just as cute in her diaper with a dirty face!)
I'm glad Brown Bear was such a HIT! Every little person I know has LOVED it! I LOVE you all, and thank you so much for sharing.
