Halloween 2009

We had yet another fun-filled Halloween at the Hegwer house. There were many pre-Halloween parties, goodies, pumpkins, etc. this year to get the kids excited. Finally by Halloween night, both Scott and I were ready for all the "fun" to be over. The kids had a blast carving pumpkins, attending multiple parties, and trick-or-treating with their local cousins.

Here is Grace in one of her Halloween outfits.
She is "So cute it's scary!"

Kylie's Husky Pumpkin for her school carving contest.
She didn't win, but should have!

Here is the pumpkin that Kylie & Hailey chose for Grace.
It was almost as tall as she was!

This is Gracie's new ghost bib given to her by her Grandma Buffalo.
She also got a turkey one for Thanksgiving that is just as cute.
She will get to "eat in style" this Fall!

This is Gracie's and mom's pumpkin. Some think it is "Mike" from Monsters Inc.
Others think it is "Bob" from Monsters vs. Aliens. Who knows???

Kylie's self-made "Boo" pumpkin with a carved in ghost and a bat in it.

Hailey's "witch" pumpkin that matched her costume.

And of course Scott's "Spongebob" pumpkin.
(Anytime Scott can throw in Spongebob, he does!)

Grace was a bunny rabbit for her first Halloween. When we were trick-or-treating, she would babble when we took her up to the doors, so everyone thought she was the cutest trick-or-treater ever (and they were right).

Hailey was a "witch" this year. If this dress looks familiar, that's because it was mine when I was little. I was a witch from about 4-7 years old. My mom saved the dress and gave it to me when Kylie was 3. Kylie never wanted to be anything "scary" so Hailey got to use it first
(she is good at being wicked). How is that for recyling?!

Kylie was a cowgirl, but many people mistook her for Hannah Montana. She would not-so-politely correct them that she was a COWGIRL! It was cute how she wanted each accessory to be just perfect for her costume and was upset that I didn't let her have a rope too.

Here are all the cousins that went with us trick-or-treating.
Including the adults, there were 16 of us.
It was lots of fun, but a little hard to keep everyone together.

Here are my girls with all the "loot" they collected.
Whew, now onto Thanksgiving!
